You’re On The Right Path

Stop comparing yourself to other people…

They’re not doing better than you are, they’re in a different season than you are. Their season has rain and tests just like yours does. Sometimes God will keep you in a season, keep you in a path that won’t make sense to you but it makes sense for you.

“Keep your eyes on your road.”

You’re looking at the chapter somebody’s life is in right now but you don’t know what they had to go through, what they had to lose, what they had to sacrifice in previous chapters. Don’t wish you had what somebody else has, work your season. Don’t stare at somebody else’s path, walk your path. Your path, your season is working all things together for your good.

Put this in your spirit…When the children of Israel left Egypt, they had two paths to get to the promise land. The short path and the long path. Now you know us humans would take the short path. On the surface it makes sense, to the flesh it makes sense…why take the long way when you can take the short way. Why have to be single for 5 years when God can send you somebody today. Why get promoted in 2 years when God can promote you today. Why go through heartbreak when God could let you skip the class and just give you the wisdom without learning the lesson…

Listen to why God said He put the Children of Israel on the long path instead of the short path: “When Pharaoh let the people go, God did not lead them on the road through the Philistine country, though that was shorter. For God said, “If they face war, they might change their minds and return to Egypt”” (Exodus 13:7). Did you catch it? Did you see that their way, the short way, was the wrong way? Did you see that God was protecting them from what they couldn’t handle to keep them from aborting their promise?

Your life is on the path that is right for you, that is protecting you, that is growing you for your promise. Your path, your season might not look cute, it might not look like somebody else’s, it might look harder, it might take longer, it might seem like it’s unfair, it might look like extra work and unnecessary heartache but trust God, you’re on the path that will get you to your promise.

Sometimes we have to go through pain to get to a promise. Sometimes we have to go through a process to get to a promise. Sometimes we have to go through what we don’t understand to get what God planned.

God’s favor has you on the path you’re on. God’s Grace is directing your footsteps. The path you’re on is for your promise not punishment. This path, this level you’re on might not feel like it but it’s anointed for you to get to your promise!

Speak life over your path…”My my path is working together for my good!”
